Ruth Smith

Ruth Smith is a full-time Realtor and broker with Keller Williams Advantage Realty in Conroe, Texas. She grew up in the Texas Panhandle on a working ranch, graduated from college with a BS degree in English and Government Education, and taught high school English for 6 years.

From there she migrated toward the title industry and owned title companies in the Panhandle. In search of education for the industry, she completed real estate courses and obtained her real estate broker’s license.

The family moved to Montgomery County in 1995 to work on a project in Houston. Being surrounded by beautiful Lake Conroe and many activities not available in the Panhandle, the decision was made to stay in North Montgomery County to live.
When the project was completed, Ruth worked as a petroleum landman for several years before buying the Keller Williams Realty franchise in Conroe in February of 2000. In the past 5 years, Keller Williams has closed an average of 1,000 transactions per year with a $350,000,000 annual volume. The connections made through Keller Williams have been invaluable in the community.

Ruth is the mother of three adult children, Mandy, Matt, and Will. She is the grandmother of four, Gavin, Abigail, Charly, and Callan.

There are so many things to be thankful for in our area. When we first moved here, I remember going to Luby’s Cafeteria and seeing so many people speaking and hugging and wondered if I would ever know that many people. You see, when we moved here, we only knew my cousin and her family. The beautiful surprise was that our community is so open and welcoming that by the end of a year, we could go out to eat or to an event and almost always see several people we knew.
Our area has grown in population along with many thriving diverse industries – attracting even more moves here from other states. It would be a shame for this gem and its amazing people to be hidden!
